BACK TO REALITY
Made in Godot Engine in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 54. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/$377895 We placed 59th in Audio and 192nd overall out of 2166 entries.
As an experienced Quantumnaut, you are comfortable handling a variety of weird situations. But accidentally separating yourself into dozens of component personalities, as a metaphysical black hole that spans across dimensions devours your ship?
That's new.
You've gotta get moving and reintegrate your clones so you can fix the ship and get BACK TO REALITY.
Notes:
- If it doesn't respond, try clicking on the game window to give it keyboard focus
- You need to follow the on-screen tutorial prompts, hold Shift if it's not responding at the beginning
- Remember to click the Fullscreen button for MORE GRAPHICS!!
- What's your high score? Mine is 100% completion with 106.33 seconds. Yes, it is possible to collect every clone and ship part.
- Known Issue: If you put a part down, it can get stuck in the void. As a workaround, you can alternate left and right clicking to bump it around to get it out of the void.
- I have released the C# source code in case you want to see how it's done: https://github.com/tkeene/back_to_reality/tree/main
Controls:
- Shift - Zoom Out
- WASD - Move
- Left Click - Issue Order (collect clones then click on objects)
- Right Click - Cancel Order
- E (while next to escape pod) - Escape
- F12 - Reset
